Experimental Evaluation of Modified Groundhook Car Suspension with Fast Magnetorheological Damper

چکیده

The car suspension setting is always a trade-off between comfort and handling. semi-active damper system seems to be an option for reducing the compromise two demands. This paper deals with effect of magnetorheological on car’s performance, especially tire grip, which was directly measured. A unique test rig developed, experimental trolley fast (response time 3 µs) used in paper. controlled by modified Groundhook algorithm. Compared passive regime, experiments showed 30% improvement when using algorithm adequately set. proved trends that were set simulations.
